Headlight Polishing
After cleaning the fog lights and covering the area, you can start the actual work. You’ll need varying amounts of elbow grease and sandpaper to complete the task. A larger grit sandpaper will also work. Start with the hardest options and gradually move to the best ones. That being said, here are the sandblasting steps for your DIY headlight restoration project.
Dry Sand 600 Grit: As this is a very coarse grit, sand the headlights in straight horizontal lines with 600 grit until the entire surface is covered and the haze layer is satisfactory. If your headlight is heavily oxidized and dull, use 400 grit sandpaper as well.
